Naked Pairs and strong-link thinking
Remote Pairs show that identical bivalue pairs can communicate across a chain. It is a good stepping stone from pairs into chain logic.
Link bivalue cells containing the same two digits when consecutive cells see each other. Along an odd-length chain, the endpoints must take opposite values, so a cell seeing both endpoints cannot contain either digit.
Start with a single digit that has several tight candidate positions. The pattern is easier to see with clean pencil marks and a deliberate scan, not by guessing.
Pause when you see this shape. You do not have to force it; just check whether the pattern is complete.

Use this after singles, locked candidates, subsets and simpler named patterns have stopped producing progress. Keep the chain short and verify it before acting.
